Presentation of the project building ethics and regulatory capacity in Portuguese speaking African countries (BERC-Luso) and its sequel

Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society

Portuguese-speaking African countries have been kept away from mainstream international actions in ethical and regulatory affairs due to the language barrier. The BERC-Luso Project successfully strengthened biomedical ethics and regulatory capabilities in these countries. The ongoing partnership aims to standardize legal frameworks for clinical trials and bolster the Portuguese-speaking cluster, promoting research and innovation. This session highlights BERC-Luso’s accomplishments and the ongoing work to enhance clinical capacity and recognition in Portuguese-speaking African countries.
