Introduction

SA Pharmacy provides clinically led, cost-efficient, professional pharmacy services to 21 of South Australia’s public metropolitan and regional hospitals and outreach sites. The scope of services extends to out of hospital services including the SA Ambulance Service, SA Prison Health Services and Drug and Alcohol Services SA (DASSA).

SA Pharmacy provides the following services:

  • Teaching, Training and Research

Our vision is to delivery best care for South Australians through quality use of medicines. With more than 600 full-time equivalents (FTEs) and 750 staff members consisting of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Assistants, Pharmacy Interns, Medical Scientists, we work together to deliver safe, effective, and innovative pharmacy services to improve the health outcomes of South Australians.  

SA Pharmacy is not just a service; it’s a commitment to accessibility, quality, and personalised care. By leveraging the use of digital health and a vast network of dedicated professionals, we provide seamless and efficient pharmaceutical services across South Australia. This means bringing essential medications and healthcare support closer to those who need it. We do this through building a contemporary, flexible and sustainable workforce aimed at building the capacity of our teams to meet evolving needs of our patients across our metropolitan and regional sites
