The FIP Development Goals (FIP DGs) bring workforce, education, practice and science under one transformative umbrella, underpinning the direction of FIP towards addressing global health challenges and achieving universal health coverage by 2030. Education plays a critical role in this transformative agenda, as it is not a one-time event but rather an ongoing process that integrates the pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice to produce a flexible and adaptable pharmacy professional. Since education goals cannot be met in isolation, it is important for all relevant stakeholders to work together to develop a professional, social and competent pharmaceutical workforce. The goal of this session is to highlight educational partnerships as a public good and a means of achieving the FIP Developments Goals on a regional and global scale. The session will begin by outlining the FIP Development Goals and FIP educational partnership initiatives, such as the FIP-UNESCO-UNITWIN Programme. Regional associations of pharmacy schools will present on how educational partnerships are helping to improve and integrate pharmacy education, meet academic capacity needs, and build skills for the pharmacy workforce. All these will demonstrate how education, and addressing the human resource for health challenges through partnerships, can address global health challenges.

Two or more organizations and individuals can maximise the value and effect of their work by forming partnerships. With the goal of influencing pharmaceutical practice and science through the transformation of education, we will show innovative and sustainable connections across regions and the globe. Through these educational collaborations, the session will enable participants to adapt these best practices to change pharmacy in their country.
